High dispersion white carbon black for tires
About 70% of China's white carbon black is used to produce tires and other rubber products. Therefore, the growth rate of white carbon black depends mainly on the development speed of the automobile, tire and rubber industries. As tires become more and more demanding for meridianization, environmental protection, energy saving and comfort, the application of silica in tires is becoming more and more important. At present, in terms of reducing rolling resistance and improving grip performance, silica and carbon black exhibit excellent performance, and in the formulation, white carbon black has been used instead of carbon black to produce "green tires". In recent years, precipitated silica has been widely used in snow tires, non-skid tires and green tires. According to the introduction of carbon black manufacturers, tires are the second largest consumer of precipitated white carbon black, and its consumption ratio accounts for about 16% of total consumption.
The rubber of the tire is an elastic body with excellent stretchability, but its comprehensive performance is not satisfactory. In the process of producing rubber products, carbon black is usually added to the rubber material to improve strength, wear resistance and aging resistance, but Due to the addition of carbon black, the products are all black and the grade is not high. The advent of fumed silica in China has laid a material foundation for the production of a new generation of rubber products with novel colors and excellent performance. After adding a small amount of fumed silica to ordinary rubber, the strength, wear resistance and aging resistance of the product meet or exceed the high-grade rubber products, and the color can be kept unchanged for a long time. The nano-modified color EPDM waterproofing membrane has obvious improvement in wear resistance, tensile strength, folding resistance and anti-aging property, and has bright colors and excellent color retention effect. The development of color tires has also made some progress. For example, the flexural performance of the tire side rubber has been increased from 100,000 times to more than 500,000 times. It is expected that in the near future, the colorization of domestic and motorcycle tires will be realized.
