"Many of China's export products have been targeted by foreign trade maintenance policies. Previously, tires and wheels were subjected to the US 'double reverse' and special protection. Today, the original carbon black of tires has become anti-dumping in some countries. Purpose."
According to carbon black manufacturers, carbon black is the second largest raw material used in rubber except for rubber. In 2011, China's output was 3.85 million tons, an increase of 13% over the same period of last year. Compared with the increase of 17% a year ago, its growth rate has dropped.
The data shows that in the five years from 2006 to 2010, China has added a total of 2.64 million tons of carbon black, with an average annual growth rate of 17%. At present, China's environmental black cat carbon black production capacity is close to 5.5 million tons / year, accounting for 38% of global production capacity, and is growing at a scale of 400,000 tons / year.
The export volume of Chinese black cat pigment carbon black has maintained a rapid growth momentum from the end of 2011. The export volume is close to 500,000 tons, accounting for 12.7% of the total output, and the export value has reached 600 million US dollars. China has thus become an important exporter of carbon black in the world.
At the same time, carbon black production capacity in the EU countries and North America is shrinking. According to analysis, the main reasons are: first, due to the financial crisis, second, foreign carbon black enterprises use petroleum-based feedstock oil, and the price of oil remains high. Compared with Chinese enterprises, the main use of coal-based feedstock oil is high.
The rapid growth of China's carbon black exports has aroused great concern in other countries. India first launched an attack. In 2008, it stopped anti-dumping of carbon black against China. In 2010, it stopped the review of carbon black. Last year, it stopped the investigation of carbon black “special protection”. The current preliminary results are not good for Chinese carbon black enterprises. Wang Cunjin believes that China's carbon black exports will face new challenges.
To this end, Ding Liping, secretary-general of the Carbon Black Branch of China Rubber Industry Association, reminded enterprises to pay attention to the static black carbon rubber market in foreign countries and to implement anti-dumping early warning mechanism as soon as possible to prevent problems.
