Japan's Asahi Carbon Black raises price of carbon black for rubber

　　According to a report from Asahi Carbon Co., Ltd., the company has announced that it will conduct a price reassessment every three months based on the fluctuation of raw material oil prices. Due to the continuous rise in the market prices of carbon black's raw material oil, coupled with the deteriorating global economic situation and the depreciation of the Japanese yen affecting exchange rates, the company, despite its efforts, is unable to control the substantial increase in costs. In order to continue supplying customers reliably and sustainably, starting from November 1, 2023, the company has decided to uniformly increase the prices of various types of rubber-grade carbon black by 15,500 Japanese yen per metric ton (equivalent to approximately 760 Chinese yuan). The company kindly asks customers to take into consideration the realities of the market and extend their understanding.
