Based on a "Rubber News" report, Eurolon Corporation, a specialty chemical manufacturer based in the United States, celebrated the grand opening of its latest facility in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, China, on November 17. The company's objective is to strategically target significant growth areas within the global rubber industry and establish a carbon black production base in Huaibei, China, aiming to achieve a more balanced regional supply. The newly inaugurated factory boasts two production lines with a combined capacity of 70,000 tons, specifically designed to meet the demands of the regional market across various industries, including rubber, coatings, polymers, printing inks, and fibers.

This marks Eurolon's second factory in China and its 15th production base worldwide. Although specific details regarding the investment scale and other particulars were not disclosed in the "Rubber News" report, Eurolon Corporation's CEO, Mr. Corning Painter, emphasized the significance of the Huaibei factory during the celebratory event. He highlighted that the facility represents the company's most advanced production site, enabling enhanced support for local customers with products manufactured in China and facilitating a more localized approach to services. With the commencement of operations at the new factory, Eurolon can now reconfigure production lines in the U.S. and Europe to better meet customer demands in these markets.

Situated in the Huaibei New Coal Chemical Synthesis Material Base in Anhui, the new factory covers an area of 106,800 square meters, with a building area of 31,500 square meters. The total investment for this project is approximately CNY 858 million, contributing to an overall carbon black capacity of 120,000 tons. This capacity includes 45,000 tons of specialty carbon black and 75,000 tons of high-end rubber product carbon black. The construction of the project occurs in two phases. The recently celebrated opening marks the initiation of the first phase's 70,000 tons capacity, featuring two production lines—one dedicated to producing 20,000 tons of specialty carbon black for pigments and another producing 50,000 tons of high-end rubber carbon black. The second phase, anticipated to be completed by 2024-2025, will add an additional 50,000 tons capacity, with one line producing 25,000 tons of specialty carbon black for pigments and another producing 25,000 tons of high-end rubber carbon black.
