According to "European Rubber Magazine", Mr. Corning Painter, CEO of Orion, said that the company has completed the upgrade and renovation project of exhaust gas utilization and emission facilities to achieve a cleaner production environment. He said that looking forward, the company will enter an exciting new era, increase investment, focus on profitable growth, reduce debt and create value for shareholders. Painter added that Orion will continue to invest in sustainability-related projects as a core part of its growth strategy, including the production of conductive materials for lithium-ion batteries and the development of products for the circular economy.
Orion expects that due to the slow recovery of the end-user market and the shutdown caused by the completion of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) upgrade project, the company's operating results in 2023 may be at the lower end of the expected earnings range, that is, adjusted interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization Pre-earnings (EBITDA) expectations are at the low end of $330 million to $340 million. Although market demand is recovering, in many application markets, demand is growing at a much slower pace than expected.
"We expect 2024 to be our fourth consecutive year of earnings growth, with growth expected to be similar to 2023, or approximately 5% of EBITDA margins," Painter said.
